ESE-TE Network: Exec update & call for images for new website!

Dear ESE-TE Network,

Call for photos of your work in ESE

As we gear up for the ’25-26 year this fall, we are currently working on a redesign of the ESE-TE website to better serve our membership, but we need your help with creating a beautiful site that represents the incredible work happening across the country! This is an official call for images representing Environmental and Sustainability Education in action across faculties of education in Canada. Please submit your ESE in TE-related photos of experiential learning, events, projects/ student work samples, etc. through our Photo Submission Form between June 17-July 31 for an opportunity to have your work featured on the upcoming new website! See full details on the form.

Introducing the new Exec

We are also pleased to introduce our new Executive Members of the ESE-TE Standing Committee! We welcome incoming Co-chair Joshua Hill (Mount Royal University) and incoming Secretary Alisa Paul (University of British Columbia). Josh and Alisa join Co-chair Andrejs Kulnieks (University of Saskatchewan) and Treasurer Marie Tremblay (ACCE-TE) as they continue in their roles. A tremendous thank you to our outgoing Co-chair Patrick Howard (Cape Breton University) and outgoing Secretary Rob VanWynsberghe (University of British Columbia) for their incredible work on the Exec.

Join an ESE-TE Working Group

Finally, our two Working Groups are inviting new members to join them for the ’25-26 year! If you’re interested in meeting and collaborating with others engaged in ESE-TE and supporting this invaluable work, please express your interest in writing to alysse.kennedy@utoronto.ca and specify if you wish to join the Raising Awareness & Developing Supports Working Group OR the Deepening Knowledge & Recommending Policy Working Group.

Have a wonderful week!

Alysse Kennedy, on behalf of the ESE-TE Co-chairs
